Branding and brand identity
We build your brand identity: logo, colors, typography, tone of voice and clear guidelines so it looks and sounds the same everywhere.
Branding
What it is
Branding is deciding how your brand looks, speaks and what it promises, then turning those decisions into a system anyone on your team can apply. It is more than a logo: it is the set of pieces that makes a customer recognize you on a sign, on Instagram or on an invoice.
Recrea Agency is based in Santo Domingo and works with brands in the Dominican Republic, the United States, Mexico, Spain and Puerto Rico, in person or remotely. Every project ends with ready-to-use files and brand guidelines, not a pretty deck nobody opens again.
Branding
Who it is for
- Companies about to launch that need a brand from scratch.
- Businesses that have grown and whose image no longer reflects who they are.
- Healthcare, restaurants, education and service businesses that compete on trust.
- Brands expanding to a new market that need to look professional in two languages.

Professional branding
A Canva logo vs. professional branding
Canva is a great tool for creating quick assets and keeping your social media active. The difference with professional branding is not the tool but the process: one solves a single piece, the other builds a system made only for your brand.
| Logo made in Canva | Professional branding | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | A template you can adapt in minutes. | Research into your business, your audience and your competitors. |
| Exclusivity | Other brands can use the same base, and it usually cannot be registered as your own trademark. | An original design meant to be yours and registrable. |
| Scope | A logo. | Logo, colors, typefaces, tone of voice, applications and usage guidelines. |
| Files | Images for screens. | Vector and editable files for print, web, signage and embroidery. |
| Consistency | Depends on whoever designs each piece. | Clear rules so everything looks the same, no matter who makes it. |
| When it makes sense | To validate an idea, an event or a project on a very small budget. | When you are about to invest in signage, packaging, a website and ads, and the brand has to last. |
Many businesses start with a Canva logo, and that is fine: it gets them going. As the business grows, professional branding saves you from redoing assets and makes the brand look as good as what you sell. Afterwards, your team can keep using Canva with templates built on your new identity.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a branding project take?
It depends on scope: a logo with core pieces is not the same as a full identity with guidelines and applications. After the first meeting we send a proposal with a delivery schedule and firm dates.
Do you work with companies in the United States?
Yes. We work remotely with brands in the US, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Spain and Puerto Rico. Meetings happen over video call and the whole process can be done remotely, in English or Spanish.
What is the difference between a logo and branding?
A logo is one piece. Branding is the full system: logo, colors, typefaces, tone of voice, applications and the rules for using them. Without that system, every new piece ends up looking different.
Is a logo made in Canva good enough?
It works to get started or test an idea. For a brand about to invest in signage, packaging, a website and ads, professional branding is worth it: it is original, registrable and comes with a full system to apply it well.
How many logo concepts do you present?
We present one well-developed main direction, plus alternatives when the project calls for it. We prefer a few considered options over many shallow ones.
Do I get the editable files?
Yes. You receive the vector and editable files for the logo and every piece, plus the brand guidelines. The brand is yours.
Can you create the brand in English and Spanish?
Yes. We are a bilingual team and can develop the tone of voice and applications in both languages.
Do you also build the website and run social media?
Yes. We can design and build your website and manage your social channels with the new identity, so everything is consistent from launch day.
